ClassGraphic This course provides essential concepts of dental radiology, including radiation hazards and safeguards, production and control of the dental x-ray beam, and intra-oral and extra-oral techniques, for dental assistants to legally operate dental x-ray equipment and perform dental radiographic procedures in Massachusetts. Classroom and laboratory instruction in x-ray exposure and processing techniques, as well as interpretation of dental radiographs is designed to prepare the student for clinical experience.
