Q. I'm not ready for college - what other options do I have?

Q. Is financial aid available for me?
A. Sallie Mae Career Training Smart Option Student Loan offers low interest student loans for individuals to attend occupational skills training programs resulting in an industry recognized certificate, license, or credential for occupations that have been identified as high demand or high growth. Q. What does credit mean as opposed to non-credit?
A. A class that is offered for credit allows students to earn college credit to apply towards a college degree. Credit courses are offered in a number of different subject areas. You can contact the Admissions Staff at 508.854.4264 or email to ccadm@qcc.mass.edu to get detailed information. The QCC Center for Workforce Development and Continuing Education.  offers primarily non-credit courses. While you won't earn college credit by taking our courses, you will still be able to prepare for a career, take advantage of professional development classes, or have the opportunity to take a personal enrichment class. We hope that you continue to be a part of the QCC family if you do decide that college is for you.
  
Q. What is the TEAS?
A. The Test of Essential Academic Skills. The TEAS test is a four-part, web-based, supervised assessment that includes sub-tests in Reading, Mathematics, Science, and English language usage.
 
Q. What is your policy for canceling classes?
A. The QCC Center for Workforce Development & Continuing Education takes canceling courses very seriously. We make every effort to fully enroll classes. When a class does not have sufficient registration, we will cancel the class and give the student the option of a full refund or rolling the registration to the next class start date. We encourage you to talk to your family and friends about joining classes together.
